Use cases
Competitor tracking: know when competitors change pricing, product or hiring
Horizo tracks competitors from their own websites. Name them and Horizo proposes their pricing, changelog, careers and blog pages, their feed and a news search. It checks each page on a schedule, ignores noise such as timestamps, and shows exactly which lines changed. Pricing changes score high importance and can alert you at once.
What Horizo watches for each competitor
- Pricing page: plan names, prices, limits and the small print, line by line.
- Changelog or release notes: new features as soon as the page changes.
- Careers page: new roles and locations, an early sign of where they're investing.
- Blog or news feed, and a news search for their name, deduplicated across outlets.
How a change reaches you
A page change becomes an item with the added and removed lines, its source and the date it was detected. Horizo scores it (a pricing change scores high) and explains why. On Pro and Team, high-importance items alert by email or Slack; everything kept goes into your daily or weekly briefing, which you can edit and share by link.
What it can't see
Pages behind a login, pages that build their text with JavaScript, and anything a site's robots.txt asks automated tools not to read. When a page can't be read, its source says so and why.
Questions
How often are competitor pages checked?
Every 6 hours on Pro and Team, daily on Starter. Feeds are checked hourly on Pro and Team.
Will cosmetic changes flood me?
No. Timestamps, counters and copyright lines are ignored, and changes of only a few characters aren't reported.
Questions buyers ask
How can I track competitors' pricing page changes automatically?
Add each competitor's website to Horizo and confirm the pricing, changelog and careers pages it proposes. Horizo saves each page's visible text, checks it on a schedule, ignores noise such as timestamps, and when the text changes shows exactly which lines were added or removed. Pricing changes are scored high importance.
