Security and data

How Horizo handles your data

Postgres hosted on Render in the United States, separated per workspace; the Slack webhook encrypted with AES-256-GCM.

What Horizo holds

  • Market descriptions, competitors, topics and muted terms
  • Watched feed and page addresses and news search phrases
  • Copies of watched pages' visible text and the items found
  • Briefings, votes, saved items and notes
  • Team members' names and email addresses
  • An encrypted Slack webhook address

How long it’s kept, and how to export or delete it

Kept until you delete them; the newest six copies of each watched page are kept. The no-account sample's input and briefing are deleted 24 hours after they're made.

The full detail is in Horizo’s data export and deletion policy.

Who processes it

Service providers (subprocessors), each on our instructions and only for the purpose shown:

  • Render: hosting, databases and backups, in the United States.
  • Stripe: subscription and license payments (card details go to Stripe, never to us).
  • Resend: sending email.
  • Anthropic: proposing sources, scoring items and writing briefing lines from fetched items.
  • Exa: news and web search for the names and topics you choose.
